History can’t teach what history doesn’t preserve.During my research for No Safety After Dark, I found countless stories of racial exclusion, violence, and sundown communities hidden in old newspapers, archives, and local records. Too much of this history is disappearing.Today, I launched a petition calling for the preservation of America’s sundown history so future generations can access an honest, evidence-based account of our shared past.If this mission resonates with you, I’d be honored if you’d read the petition, sign it, and share it with others who believe history deserves to be preserved. π€
