Educator/Author/Activist
Dedicated to uncovering the history of racial exclusion across America. My work focuses on the systems that shaped where Black American could safely exist after dark. Segregation. Terror. Violence.
I’ve always had a curious mind. Sundown started as a search for answers and quickly became a calling. As I examined thousands of historical records, newspapers, census records, maps, and firsthand accounts, I began to recognize patterns that led me to develop what I call the Sundown Infrastructure. It is a way to understand how segregation, terror, and violence worked together to enforce racial exclusion.
As an educator, I believe history should be accessible and evidence based. My mission is to bridge the academic research and public history in a way that creates critical thinking and encourages conversation.
When I’m not researching or writing, you’ll find me creating educational videos, exploring my personal family history and helping others discover the hidden histories of the place they call home.

Let’s learn,
Rina
